The Frogs will head to Southwark Playhouse Borough early next year.
Brought to the stage by the writing team behind 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum' and Broadway legend Nathan Lane, The Frogs is a comedic and satirical musical inspired by Aristophanes' ancient Greek play written in 405 b.c. It follows Dionysus, the god of theatre, as he journeys to the underworld to bring back a great playwright to inspire humanity and save civilisation.
Joining them on the creative team is director Georgie Rankcom, music director Ben Mc Quigg, choreographer Matt Nicholson, set and costume designer Libby Todd, lighting designer Samuel Biondolillo, sound designer Joshua Robins, orchestration Tim Sutton and casting director Peter Noden.
Kevin McHale will play the role of Xanthias with more cast to be announced.
The Frogs will play at the Southwark Playhouse Borough from 23 May - 28 June 2025.
