The event, held in support of international charity WaterAid, will see St Martin's Lane closed as the biggest night in theatre steps out onto the street. Full glamour and a star-studded guest list are planned.
Kinky Boots struts into the West End for a 17-week run following on from its sell-out UK, Ireland, and recent European tour.
Strictly Come Dancing professional Johannes Radebe will star as Lola alongside Matt Cardle (& Juliet, UK Tour) as Charlie Price, with Tosh Wanogho-Maud (Titanique, Criterion Theatre)as Alternate Lola*.
Johannes said: "I am honoured to have seen firsthand the incredible work WaterAid do around the world. I visited one of their projects in my home country of South Africa and heard the stories of how simply having access to clean water has changed the lives of the people there. I am so lucky to be able to live my dream every day, and I am thrilled that our gala performance at the London Coliseum will be raising money for WaterAid* so that others can follow their dreams too. It’s going to be quite a celebration. See you there!”Directed by Curve's Artistic Director Nikolai Foster (Legally Blonde the Musical),
Kinky Boots follows Charlie Price as he inherits the family's struggling shoe factory and teams with a drag performer to make high-heeled boots for men. As Lola and Charlie begin to challenge traditional ideas about masculinity and identity, the factory workers also learn to embrace diversity and acceptance.
Packed with all the energy and heart, the musical boasts a fantastic score including hits like "The History of Wrong Guys", "Sex Is in the Heel", and "Raise You Up /Just Be". We've got a full guide on everything you need to know about Kinky Bootsfor more information!
The musical will play at the London Coliseum from 17 March to 11 July 2026.
