La Voix to star as Miss Hannigan in ANNIE

Drag legend La Voix will star as Miss Hannigan in the UK and Ireland tour of Annie, alongside Alex Bourne as Oliver Warbucks. The tour will open at the New Wimbledon Theatre in May 2026, and La Voix will play the role in Birmingham, Manchester, Plymouth and Canterbury as well as London.

Beloved worldwide, Annie is the story of a young orphan girl living in New York during the Great Depression, clinging to her hope and optimism even in the misery and torment of the cruel Miss Hannigan's orphanage. But her luck changes when she's selected to spend Christmas with famous billionaire Oliver Warbucks. The two form an unlikely bond, while Miss Hannigan schemes to ruin Annie's search for a loving family.

With a Tony award-winning book by Thomas Meehan, music by Charles Strouse, and lyrics by Martin Charnin, this heartwarming classic musical will begin its tour across the UK and Ireland from Mat 2026, starting at the New Wimbledon Theatre in London.

Taking on the role of the villainous Miss Hannigan will be La Voix, who was previously a finalist on Season 6 of RuPaul's Drag Race UK and most recently appeared on Series 23 of Strictly Come Dancing. She was also a semi-finalist on Britain's Got Talent, and has appeared on television in ITV's Queens For The Night, and in film in Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie. In her live show, La Voix Meets, she's interviewed legends such as Dawn French, Joanna Lumley, Su Pollard, and Vanessa Feltz, and performed for the British Royal Family at their exclusive New Year's Eve ball. She recently released her debut original pop single, 'The Show Isn't Over', followed by her second original single, 'Hitchcock Blonde'.

Alex Bourne will reprise his role as Oliver Warbucks, having previously played him in the West End, in Toronto and on a UK Tour. He has peviously appeared in The Wizard of Oz, Hairspray, Mamma Mia!, We Will Rock You, Chicago, and Eugenius!. He was nominated for an Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Musical for the role of Fred Graham in Kiss Me, Kate at the Chichester Festival Theatre and the Old Vic Theatre. On film he has starred in Cinderella.
