It's Les Misérables The Staged Concert and it's due in town for post-covid fun at the Sondheim Theatre from 20th May 2021, on stage until 5th September. This is brilliant news for the theatre-loving public who, in December 2020, bought every single available ticket within twenty four hours of their release. Who’s involved in Les Misérables Staged Concert?
Cameron Mackintosh’s production of Les Misérables is written by Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg, based on Victor Hugo's classic novel. The music comes from Claude-Michel Schönberg and the lyrics from Herbert Kretzmer. The Staged Concert is directed by James Powell and Jean-Pierre Van Der Spuy with design by Matt Kinley and costumes by Andreane Neofitou and Christine Rowland. There's lighting by Paule Constable and Warren Letton, projections by Finn Ross, and sound by Mick Potter. The musical supervision is by Stephen Brooker and the show is conducted by Alfonso Casado Trigo.
This spectacular production presents more than 50 dazzlingly good actors and musicians taken from the legendary West End and National Tour Companies of Les Misérables, and the cast for the show has just been announced.
