A first-look workshop is planned for later this month as the new musical prepares for an expected UK premiere later this year.

MAID MARIAN AND HER MERRY MEN A NEW MUSICAL* (*SORT OF) is a brand new stage musical based on Tony Robinson's hit BBC TV series.

Thomas Hopkins, Guy Chapman, and Rodgerson will present a first-look workshop performance at the Soho Theatre this month ahead of an expected UK premiere later this year. The new musical features Book, Music and Lyrics by Olivier Award-winning Writer Vikki Stone (Hey Duggee: The Live Theatre Show), and directed and developed by Benji Sperring (An Act of God).

The cast for the workshop includes Bronté Barbé (Newsies), Vikki Stone, Nick Helm (Uncle, BBC 3), Myles Miller (Beautiful - The Carole King Musical), Marek Larwood (Black Ops, BBC TV), Damien James (The Play The Goes Wrong, UK tour), Marc Pickering (Great Expectations, Criterion Theatre), Michelle Bishop (Cabaret, London), and Natasha Lewis (The Boy In The Dress, The RSC).
