NOISES OFF will run for twelve weeks at the Theatre Royal Haymarket from 27 September 2023.

The celebrated 40th Anniversary production directed by Lindsay Posner opened to critical acclaim at Theatre Royal Bath in Autumn 2022 before it transferred to the Phoenix Theatre in January this year. With ecstatic reviews from its last West End run, more audiences will be able to see one of the greatest British comedies ever written by Michael Frayn.

What is NOISES OFF about?

NOISES OFF has been delighting audiences ever since its premiere at the Lyric Hammersmith in 1982, as well as its further iterations.

A play within a play, NOISES OFF follows an ambitious director and his touring theatre group as they act out their own play, Nothing On. The play has inspired future comedy classics including another West End favourite, THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG which again centres around a theatre group who struggle against all of the odds to put on a show.

The cast of NOISES OFF

NOISES OFF stars Felicity Kendal (The Good Life) as Dotty, Jonathan Coy as Frederick Fellows, and Alexander Hanson as Lloyd Dallas. Further casting is to be announced.

What did the reviews say?

‘Pure comic bliss…has lost none of its power to reduce well behaved adults to hysterical wrecks’ - The Daily Mail

‘Glorious…as reliable an engine of joy as there is on the British stage’ - The Times
