PRETTY WOMAN: THE MUSICAL returns for a new UK tour

Based on the 1990 romantic comedy film starring Richard Gere and Julia Roberts, Pretty Woman tells the story of wealthy businessman Edward Lewis and free-spirited LA prostitute Vivian Ward. When Edward hires Vivian to be his escort for seven days and nights while he's in the city, they start off butting heads but soon find themselves falling in love as they get to know each other.

The musical adaptation of this iconic rom com features a book by Garry Marshall and J.F. Lawton, the film's original director and screenwriter, with direction and choreography by two-time Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots, Legally Blonde, Hairspray) and an original score by Grammy winner Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance. Its 'blazing rock score' (Daily Mail) features Roy Orbison and Bill Dee’s international smash hit song ‘Oh, Pretty Woman’, which is the inspiration behind the original film.

The creative team includes scenic design by David Rockwell, costumes by Tom Rogers from the original Broadway designs by Gregg Barnes, lighting design by Kenneth Posner and Philip S. Rosenberg, sound design by John Shivers, hair design by Josh Marquette, and music supervision, arrangements and orchestrations by Will Van Dyke.

Pretty Woman: The Musical had its world premiere in Chicago in 2018, before transferring to Broadway, and then opened in the West End at in 2020, where it ran until 2023, before embarking on its first sell-out UK and Ireland tour. Now it's hitting the road again in 2027, starting with a return to London.

The tour will open at the New Wimbledon Theatre on 10 March 2027, before visiting Manchester, Milton Keynes, York, Birmingham, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Sunderland, Southampton, Hull, Stoke-on-Trent, Leeds, Oxford, Bristol, Liverpool, Nottingham, Woking and Aberdeen, with further venues and casting to be announced.
