Co-written by Splendid Production's Artistic Director Kerry Frampton and Associate Director Ben Hales, the Olivier Award-nominated show returns to Shakespeare's Globe this summer.

Nominated for Best Family Show, the returning cast for Rough Magic includes Rosemarie Akwafo as Nona, Janet Etuk as Morai, Kerry Frampton as Henry IX, and Bryony Twydle as Audeja, while Amy Revelle will join the company for the 2025 run as Cover.
Director Lucy Cuthbertson says: “I’m thrilled we’re bringing Rough Magic back after its Olivier nomination earlier this year. We can't wait to introduce audiences of all ages to Shakespeare’s supernatural world, especially our weird sisters, who are still trying to recover following the recent, unfortunate ‘Macbeth incident’.
“Our brilliant cast are ready to bring ghosts, spirits, fairies, witches, monsters, and plenty of magic to the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse as we continue our commitment to making top-quality theatre for younger audiences. And older audiences too. It's genuinely a show for anyone.”
Rough Magic is designed by Rose Revitt, with Kate Webster as Choreographer, Ben Hales as Composer, Claire Llewellyn as Fight Director, and John Bulleid as Illusion Designer.
The production returns to the indoor Sam Wanamaker Playhouse from 19 July to 23 August.
