A UK tour of the Olivier-nominated musical production will take place in the autumn, followed by five performances at the Royal Albert Hall in November.

Beverley Knight (Sister Act) will reprise her Olivier Award-winning role as Emmeline Pankhurst alongside Sharon Rose (Hamilton) as Sylvia in the production.

Beverley Knight said: “I could not be more chuffed to reprise my role as Emmeline Pankhurst one more time! The spirit, courage and determination of the suffragettes and in particular Sylvia Pankhurst is so brilliantly celebrated in this show. The Soul, R&B, HipHop and Blues reflects the joy, passion and the fight of the women and their allies. It seemed to me like the perfect place to perform “Sylvia” was the very stage on which the suffragettes were roundly expelled and rejected, the Royal Albert Hall. Over 100 years later Sylvia and the Suffragettes are returning to triumph.”

Brought to life by Katie Prince and Priya Parmer, Sylvia celebrates the life of the rebellious middle child of Emmeline Pankhurst and her pivotal role in the Suffragette movement. Whilst her mother and sister battled for women's suffrage, Sylvia ignited a revolution for the forgotten: working women, the impoverished, the silenced. The musical is told through an irresistible soundtrack by Josh Cohen and DJ Walde that joyously unites hip hop, funk, and soul.

Sylvia was first presented at The Old Vic as a work-in-progress in 2018 before becoming a fully-staged production a few years later at the same theatre in 2023.

The full creative team includes Book and Lyrics, Director and Choreographer Kate Prince, Book by Priya Parmar, Music by Josh Cohen and DJ Walde, Set and Costume Designer Ben Stones, Lighting Designer Natasha Chivers, Sound Designer Tony Gayle, Video and Animation by Andrzej Goulding, Wigs, Hair and Make-up by Cynthia De La Rosa, Dramaturgy by Lolita Chakrabarti and Music Supervision by Sean Green.

Sylvia will play at the Royal Albert Hall from 13-15th November 2026.
