THE MASSIVE TRAGEDY OF MADAME BOVARY announces Christmas run in London

Based on the classic novel by Gustave Flaubert; the comical, fast-paced adaptation will run over the festive period at the Southwark Playhouse Borough.

The Massive Tragedy of Madame Bovary will open at the Southwark Playhouse Borough on 5th December 2024.
Presented by Ha Hum Ah Productions and the Minack Theatre, the production was previously staged at the Minack Theatre and on a national tour. The classic Flaubert novel centres on a woman who is struggling with the patriarchy, this was scandalous when it was published in 1856.
The cast includes Stephen Cavanagh, Ben Kernow, Georgia Nicholson and Darren Seed will take on multiple roles in the show.
Written by John Nicholson, The Massive Tragedy of Madame Bovary's creative team includes Director Kirstie Davis, Movement Director Grace Murdoch, Set and Costume Designer Marion Harrison, Lighting Designer Simon Hutchings, Sound Designer Dan Bottomley, Producers Zoe Curnow and Ben Kernow, and Assistant Producer Sian Kennedy.
The Massive Tragedy of Madame Bovary will run from 5 December 2024 until 11 January 2025.
