The 1960 American novel explores racial injustice and the loss of childhood innocence. It was inspired by the author's own childhood and has sold more than 45 million copies worldwide.
Set in the fictional town of Maycomb, Alabama, during the Great Depression, it is narrated through the eyes of Scout Finch and follows her father's fight to defend a Black man falsely accused of a crime.
To Kill A Mockingbird premiered as a stage production on Broadway in 2018 at the Shubert Theatre. The production transferred to the West End in 2022 at the Gielgud Theatre, later than originally planned due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The West End season this year will be part of the show's UK and Ireland tour.
The acclaimed stage and screen actor Richard Coyle (The Player Kings) will reprise his role as Atticus Finch. Further casting for the West End production is to be announced.
The 'Powerful. Important. Deeply moving' To Kill A Mockingbird will play from 25 June to 12 September 2026.
