Chichester Festival Theatre's production of Irving Berlin's Top Hat, which opened to rave reviews, embarks on a UK tour from September and will head to London for the festive season.

Based on the classic film from 1935, which starred Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, follows Jerry Travers, a charming American dancer who tries to win the heart of the elegant Dale Tremont. Top Hat features dazzling dance numbers and timeless Irving Berlin songs like "Cheek to Cheek" and "Top Hat, White Tie and Tails."
The original West End production at the Aldwych Theatre won the 2013 Olivier Award for Best New Musical and the Evening Standard Award for Best Night Out.
Beginning its run on 12 December, Phillip Attmore (Hello, Dolly!), Clive Carter (Moulin Rouge! The Musical), Sally Ann Triplett (Cabaret), James Clyde (Matilda the Musical), and Alex Gibson-Giorgio (Sinatra The Musical) reprise their roles from Chichester Festival Theatre with Amara Okereke (Les Misérables) joining the cast in London as Dale Tremont.
The London company is completed by Lindsay Atherton, Rhiannon Bacchus, Jeremy Batt, Freddie Clements, Pedro Donoso, Bethan Downing, Autumn Draper, Tilly Ducker, Laura Hills, Maddie Harper, Connor Hughes, James Hume, George Lyons, David McIntosh, Jordan Oliver, Emily Ann Potter, Joe Press, Molly Rees Howe, Kirsty Sparks and Toyan Thomas-Browne.
Top Hat will play at the Queen Elizabeth Hall from 12 December to 17 January 2026.
