Barcelona in London
Starring:
Lily Collins
Lily Collins (Emily in Paris, To The Bone, Mank) plays Irene and Álvaro Morte (Money Heist, Wheel of Time, Immaculate) plays Manuel in the explosive thriller, Barcelona. This is the capital’s stage premiere of a thrilling play whose plot is very twisty indeed.
Barcelona is a feast of thrills created by the American writer and Tony Award nominee Bess Wohl (Baby Ruby, Camp Siegfried, Grand Horizons), beautifully directed by the multi-award winner Lynette Linton.
Barcelona - The story
The scene is Barcelona, late at night, where an American woman is on a hen weekend. When she throws caution to the wind and embarks on a fiery one-night stand with a handsome local man things soon get complicated, resulting in something that’s about as far from an innocent fling as it gets. A frightening game of cat and mouse ensues, where mutual destruction, comedy, awkwardness and the unexpected are on the cards.
This play explores the gap between fantasy and real life, described as a ‘seductive thriller’ that will keep you on your toes from start to finish as the personal and political combine to catastrophic effect. Barcelona is funny, provocative, and always surprising.

Not the best play...The play was horrible, the story was really lame and nonsense. The actors were great. Even though it was sad that Lily Collins was sick on that day, so we saw somebody else. Alvaro Morte was incredible.
