Fallen Angels in London
Best friends Jane and Julia, both happily married and living in domestic bliss, receive an unexpected visitor who turns their lives around: a charming, glamorous ex-lover who quickly has them reminiscing about the passion and excitement of their single days. What follows is a thrilling mix of rekindled desires, champagne-fuelled indiscretions, and riotous comedy as the two women grapple between loyalty to their husbands and the delicious temptation of adultery.
First staged exactly 100 years ago, Noel Coward's outrageous, witty comedy returns to the stage in its first London revival in 25 years. This scandalous, wicked comedy sparked outrage and censorship from the Lord Chamberlain when it was first performed in 1925, and it promises to be just as salacious today as it was then. Christopher Luscombe (Travels With My Aunt) directs a brilliantly talented cast, including two-time Olivier Award winner Janie Dee (Follies) as Julia Sterroll and acclaimed RSC actress Alexandra Gilbreath (Twelfth Night, The Taming of the Shrew) as Jane Banbury. With Coward's trademark sizzling wit and a clever exploration of love, temptation and friendship, Fallen Angels is universally considered one of his funniest plays.
For the first time in 25 years, it's your chance to experience this razor-sharp and witty story of passion and desire in its delightful centenary celebration.

entertaining humorous and thought provokingNoel Coward writes a 90 minute play about nothing but yet it reveals something of what everyone thinks. It is a very good script - very funny and the acting did it justice. It was entertaining and enjoyable and yet while being light and funny also a thought provoking challenge on complacency and human needs and social restraints.
