The reforming Radical Liberal party has won power with a landslide, Britain has put a man on the moon, and George, a Professor of Moral Philosophy, is up late writing a paper titled 'Man – good, bad or indifferent?' Meanwhile, his wife Dotty, a reclusive former musical star, is hosting a wild election party with a band and live acrobats. Driven to distraction, George impulsively makes an anonymous noise complaint to the police. But when the police arrive the next morning, it's to investigate a murder that took place at the party - a murder in which Dotty is the prime suspect.

Tom Stoppard's 1972 comedy about murder, marriage, and metaphysics hasn't been staged in London for over 20 years. Jumpers is the latest in the Hampstead Theatre's thrilling and record-breaking string of revivals, including Indian Ink, The Invention of Love, Rock 'n' Roll and Hapgood. Blanche McIntyre (Stage Kiss, The Assembled Parties, Letters From Max) returns to direct Stoppard after her critically-acclaimed production of The Invention of Love. Witty, cutting, and clever, Jumpers is a classic drama by the late and great Tom Stoppard that mixes a baffling murder mystery with a scintillating and humorous exploration of morality.
