The musical will be staged at the new theatre, The Arts at Marble Arch, from Saturday 12 September, whilst a second production embarks on a major 33-week UK tour which opens at the New Victoria Theatre in Woking from July. The new London theatre is expected to attract more than 500,000 people when the theatre opens.
Burlesque the Musical centres around a small-town girl named Ali who moves to Los Angeles with dreams of making it big. She finds herself at a struggling yet glamorous neo-burlesque club run by Tess, where Ali's extraordinary voice gives the venue new life. As she navigates love, friendship and rivalry, Ali transforms both the club and herself, discovering her own strength and talent.
The stage adaptation sizzles with songs by Christina Aguilera, Sia, Diane Warren, Jess Folley (Les Misérables), and Todrick Hall.
Cast and creative team to be announced soon.
