What is CABLE STREET about?
Taking place in the heart of London's East End back in 1936, racial tensions were running high in the area. Sammy, Mairead and Ron passionately live their lives in the multi-cultural melting pot that is Cable Street. Desperate to carve out their own futures when Oswald Mosley's British Union of Fascists (or Blackshirts) begin to march on the East End.
The musical presents an electrifying reimagining of one of London's most momentous days, The Battle of Cable Street. CABLE STREET celebrates a community that came together with a call for action.
