Becky Hope-Palmer and Robin Hiley's bold new play intertwines the history of Alexander Fleming's discovery of penicillin with a modern story about a doctor whose childhood sweetheart is suffering from an antimicrobial resistance infection. This searing commentary on modern medicine and the flaws in the healthcare system is set to a soundtrack of original songs and features real-life healthcare workers in its chorus. It will have its London premiere at the Southwark Playhouse Elephant in 2026.
