Based on the popular 2010 Globe Globe Best Picture nominated film starring Christina Aguilera and Cher, Burlesque was adapted for the stage by Steven Antin and features music by Christina Aguilera, Sia, Diane Warren, Todrick Hall and Jess Folley. It tells the story of Ali, who arrives in New York in search of the mother she never knew, and stumbles upon a dazzling underground club. In this intoxicating world of music and dance, she begins to discover her extraordinary voice, and finds an unexpected family of dreamers, misfits, and schemers who will inspire and challenge her, and change her life forever.

Following a sold-out, critically acclaimed run at the Savoy Theatre, Burlesque the Musical is returning to London at the new West End venue, The Arts at Marble Arch. Cassidy Janson has been cast as Tess Richarde, the fabulous owner of the Burlesque Lounge, played in the 2010 film by Cher. Janson won an Olivier Award for her acclaimed performance as Anne Hathaway in &Juliet. Her other West End credits include Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, Avenue Q, Wicked, Candide, Tick, Tick… Boom!, Lend Me a Tenor, and Man of La Mancha.

Of Janson's casting, writer and producer Steven Antin said, "She’s glamorous, funny, fierce, wildly talented - and she has the sass and heart that make Tess unforgettable.”

Burlesque the Musical will open at The Arts at Marble Arch on 12 September 2026 and run until 31 January 2027.
