About Cats

Andrew Lloyd Webber's timeless classic is based on T.S. Eliot's Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats. It follows a tribe of cats called the Jellicle Cats, who come together for a once-a-year event where their leader, Old Deuteronomy, will announce the cat who can now be reborn and come back in a different life. Full of colour, spectacle, and song, Cats introduces you to a dizzying array of eccentric, charming, and unique feline characters in an utterly one-of-a-kind adventure.

Cats was one of the longest running shows on Broadway and in the West End. It has dazzling soundtrack, featuring some of the most memorable songs in musical history, including 'Old Deuteronomy', 'Macavity: The Mystery Cat', 'Jellicle Ball' and the chart-topping hit 'Memory'.

This brand new revival will be directed and choreographed by Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre Artistic Director Drew McOnie (Brigadoon, Jesus Christ Superstar).

Creatives include Lucy Adams (Associate Lighting Designer); Josh Baker (Resident Director & Choreographer); Tim Blazdell (Associate Set Designer); Will Burton (Casting Director); Guy Common (Makeup Designer & Supervisor); Ollie Durrant (Associate Sound Designer); Sami Fendall (Set, Costume and Wigs Designer); Adam Fisher (Sound Designer); Jessica Hung Han Yun (Lighting Designer); Kev McCurdy (Fight Director); Geraint Owen (Musical Director); and Alex Parker (Musical Supervisor).
