The new season, revealed by Artistic Director Tim Sheader and Executive Director Henry Finch includes two world premieres and an exciting revival.
With the critically acclaimed revival of Lynn Nottage’s Intimate Apparel currently playing, the new season at Donmar Warehouse will kick off in August.
Directed by James Macdonald, Juniper Blood will receive its world premiere. The new play by Mike Bartlett will explore the true cost of pursuing ideals in an imperfect world. The play will star Terique Jarrett (Fangirls, Lyric Hammersmith), Hattie Morahan (Ghosts, Shakespeare's Globe), Nadia Parkes (The House Party, Headlong / Chichester Festival Theatre), Jonathan Slinger (Waiting for Godot, Theatre Royal Haymarket), and Sam Troughton (Closer, Lyric Hammersmith).
Macdonald will be joined by Designer ULTZ, Associate Set Designer Mark Simmonds, Lighting Designer Jo Joelson, and Sound Designer Helen Skiera. Juniper Blood will play from 16 August to 4 October.
Next at the Donmar Warehouse will be The Maids. Following his critically acclaimed Olivier and Tony Award winning reimagining of The Picture of Dorian Gray, Kip Williams will make his Donmar Warehouse debut. This bold new translation of The Maids is a compelling, timely parable of modern identity and the destructive desire to both emulate and annihilate those we idolize.
The creative team will include Set Designer Rosanna Vize, Costume Designer Marg Horwell, Video Designer Ian William Galloway, and Lighting Designer Jon Clark. The Maids will play from 13 October to 29 November.
Finally, Tim Sheader will direct a revival of J.B. Priestley’s comedy When We Are Married. The much-loved comedy centres on three couples who are highly respected pillars of the Yorkshire community.
When We Are Married will star Siobhan Finneran (Three Winters, National Theatre), Samantha Spiro (Twelfth Night, Wyndham's Theatre), Sophie Thompson (The Ballad of Hattie & James, Kiln), and Marc Wootton (Til The Stars Come Down, National Theatre).
The creative team includes Set Designer Peter McKintosh, Costume Designer Anna Fleischle, and Lighting Designer Ryan Day. When We Are Married will play at Donmar Warehouse from 6 December 2025 to 7 February 2026.
