Full cast announced for UK premiere of MARIE AND ROSETTA

George Brant's critically acclaimed Marie and Rosetta will embark on a short tour as part of a partnership with Rose Theatre, Chichester Festival Theatre and ETT.

The cast has been announced for Marie and Rosetta.

Olivier Award winner Beverley Knight (Sylvia) will make her play debut as Rosetta, with Ntombizodwa Ndlovu (Cat On A Hot Tin Roof) making her London stage debut as Marie.

The creative team joining Touko includes Lily Arnold (Set Designer), Jodie-Simone Howe (Costume Designer), Kloé Dean (Movement Director), Liam Godwin (Music Supervisor, Arranger & Orchestrator), Matt Haskins (Lighting Designer), Tony Gayle (Sound Designer), Bethan Clark (Intimacy Director), Joel Trill (Voice & Dialect Coach), Jacob Sparrow (Casting Director), Jordi M. Carter (Associate Director), and Teresa Nagel (Associate Lighting Designer).

Marie and Rosetta tells the true story of Tharpe and her protégé Marie Knight. Directed by Monique Touko, Marie and Rosetta will feature gospel and blues hits to give audiences an electrifying insight into the godmother of rock 'n' roll.

The production will begin performances at the Rose Theatre in Kingston from 2-24 May 2025.
