Cast announced for UK premiere of HERE THERE ARE BLUEBERRIES

Conceived and directed by Tony and Emmy Award nominee Moisés Kaufman (co-founder of Tectonic Theater Project), who is also co-writer with Emmy nominee Amanda Gronich, Here There Are Blueberries made its debut as a work in progress in America in 2018. It has had subsequent runs and recently, this year had a national tour.

The cast for this UK premiere production will include Geraldine Alexander (Bridgerton, Netflix) as Judy Cohen & others, Scott Barrow (33 Variations, Tectonic Theater Project) as Karl Höcker & others, Os Leanse (Stranger Things: The First Shadow, West End) as Peter Wirths & others, Philippine Velge (Macbeth, Globe Theatre) as Rebecca Erbelding & others, Paksie Vernon (People Places and Things, West End) as Charlotte Schünzel & others, and Arthur Wilson (Much Ado About Nothing, RSC) as Rainer Höss & others. Further casting is to be announced.

Set in 2007, a mysterious album featuring Nazi-era photographs arrives on the desk of a U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum archivist. As curators unravel the shocking news behind the images, the album soon makes headlines and ignites a debate that reverberates far beyond the museum walls. Here There Are Blueberries is based on real events - revealing the perpetrators of the Holocaust, and our own humanity.

Produced in association with Brian & Dayna Lee and Eleanor Lloyd Productions in association with La Jolla Playhouse.

The play features an accomplished creative team, including scenic design by Derek McLane, costume design by Dede Ayite, lighting design by David Lander, projection design by David Bengali, and sound design by Bobby McElver. Casting Direction is by Jacob Sparrow. The production is supported by Associate Director Josh Seymour, Associate Set Designer Ben Davies, Associate Lighting Designer Hector Murray, Associate Projection Designer Stivo Arnoczy, and Associate Sound Designer Salvador Zamora.
