Jermyn Street Theatre announces full programme for Spring 2026

With the world premiere of Katherine Moar’s Ragdoll breaking box office records, and the new adaptation of David Copperfield in rehearsals, Jermyn Street Theatre’s Artistic Director Stella Powell-Jones, Co-Artistic Director and Executive Producer David Doyle, and Executive Director Penny Horner, today announce full programming for the 2026 Spring season.
Audiences can look forward to five plays, including one world premiere and two major revivals. The theatre will also host a series of one-night wonders, including Sian Phillips’ The Greeks, a series of Kenneth Williams performances -Kenneth Williams: A Centenary Celebration and Cult Figure: Kenneth Williams -and An Afternoon with Tony Robinson.
Kicking off the Spring season will be a brand-new revival of Lyle Kessler’s Tony Award-nominated modern classic Orphans. Set in 1983 Philadelphia, the story follows two isolated brothers whose lives are upended by a mysterious stranger. Running from 5 - 24 January, stars Forbes Masson (Much Ado About Nothing, Theatre Royal Drury Lane), Olivier Award-winner Chris Walley, and Fred Woodley Evans (Outlying Islands), and is directed by former Carne Deputy Director Al Miller.
In February, Dear Liar will take on the complex 40-year relationship between the two theatrical titans, George Bernard Shaw and Mrs. Patrick Campbell. Adapted for the stage by Jerome Kilty, Stella Powell-Jones directs the production from 5 February - 7 March 2026.
Following on from its sold-out run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this summer, Emma Howlett's Aether will head to the Jermyn Street Theatre. The production, which blends science, faith and magic, stars Gemma Barnett, Sophie Kean, Anna Marks Pryce, Abby McCann. Catch it from 16 March - 4 April 2026.
Playwright Flora Wilson Brown and director Júlia Levai collaborate to reveal the ultimate coming-of-age story in Virginia Woolf’s masterpiece, The Waves. Major new talents Flora Wilson Brown and Júlia Levai unite in the production from 16 April 2026. The season will conclude with a new production of Teresa Deevy’s Wife to James Whelan, a timeless story of love and pride, directed by Jonathan Bank, which reintroduces Ireland’s forgotten genius to London audiences.
With so much on offer, 2026 will get off to an explosive start at the Jermyn Street Theatre!
