The show is cleverly written and very well acted. I could not imagine how a true and serious WW II story could possibly be told in the form of a musical that was both humourous and bittersweet but the writers and performers did so. For all that the stage is small, the set was cleverly constructed and lit. My only concern was that the words to a few songs were partially drowned out by the music sound level.

Over my nearly 75 years I have seen many plays in the West End, on Broadway and elsewhere. Never have I enjoyed a musical as much as Operation Mincemeat. To take this story and make it an enchanting musical comedy is nothing less than genius! The acting, writing, music and choreography is without equal. The gender reversals worked flawlessly. The performances were brilliant. I am in no doubt that we will be seeing many of these performers for years to come. I loved Hamilton. Operation Mincemeat is clearly better. BRAVO!!!

The seating in the dress circle is not meant for a 6'3" person, unless you can get a aisle seat. The theater itself was great.The play and actors were Fantastic! Can not speak for seating anywhere else, but the dress circle require very little stairs.

Tonight I saw Operation Mincemeat, and my biggest takeaway was: these five actors are incredible. Five actors somehow feel like a cast of more than ten. They’re constantly changing costumes, moving props, switching characters and positions—there’s hardly a second when anyone is doing nothing. The speed of the costume and character changes is especially impressive. Sometimes, before you’ve even realised what’s happening, they’ve already transformed into the next character and set up the next scene. One moment I particularly loved was when the lights changed and the actors quickly changed costumes and repositioned themselves, bringing the story they had just been telling to life on stage. Then, when the story ended, they smoothly returned to where they had started. The whole transition was so seamless that I barely had time to process what had happened. The music and rhythm were also fantastic. Some of the rap sections reminded me a little of Hamilton, but the show definitely has its own style. Most importantly, the story itself is incredibly strong. Based on a true historical event, it doesn’t feel like the ending has been forced just for dramatic effect. Somehow, knowing that these events really happened makes the story even more powerful. Five actors, a simple stage, and yet such a rich and complete story. Great story, great performances, great staging. A truly brilliant musical. 🎭

It was well worth seeing Operation Mincemeat a second time. Saw it when it opened in 2023 and took 2 American friends to see it yesterday. They loved it. We watched "The Man Who Never Was" (1956 film) after seeing the play. It's brilliant and creative how the musical followed the true story. Tonight we'll watch "Operation Mincemeat" (2021 film) to compare and contrast.

Im 65. I've watched many West End shows, Les Mis etc. I travelled up from Cornwall and windged all the way about the cost of the tickets. Well did that come gavk to bite me on the bum. I've never ever in all my years been so impressed. The whole production was mesmerising. I was spell bound. Such polished utterly brilliant performances. Music was incredible. At the end I was on my feet . I was so happy I cried. I will remember this performance always, I just wish I had been up there with them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart x

We were able to squeeze in one show during a quick trip through London and this did not disappoint! It exceeded my expectations. Every actor is extremely talented, carrying multiple roles with perfect execution. The singing and acting were amazing; costume changes were incredibly quick, and the humor was dry and hilarious. Our 17-year old son, who is not frequently impressed by theater, said- that was awesome!! I highly recommend this show!

The most wonderful thing happened during the interval. One of the actors’ mother and grandmother came and sat next to me in the stalls, and while I had already been enjoying the show, this made it so special and I left ecstatic. A fabulous ensemble performance but their daughter/granddaughter stole the show for me - no names, in the spirit of operation hush-hush.
