John Simm to play Scrooge in A CHRISTMAS CAROL at The Old Vic

Simm will take on the iconic role in Matthew Warchus' beloved and record-breaking production from November.

John Simm (Life on Mars) will take on the role of Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol at The Old Vic.
Directed by Jack Thorne (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), the production welcomed 66,000 people during its eight-week run last year.
The role makes Simm's debut at The Old Vic, as well as his first stage role since he played the title role of Macbeth at the Chichester Festival Theatre in 2019. John Simm has had a recognisable career in TV, including roles in Doctor Who, Grace, 24 Hour Party People and State of Play.

The creative team also includes Set & Costume by Rob Howell, Composition & Arrangement by Christopher Nightingale, Lighting by Hugh Vanstone, Sound by Simon Baker, Casting by Jessica Ronane CDG and Movement by Lizzi Gee. Jamie Manton is the Associate Director.
A Christmas Carol will play at The Old Vic from 09 November 2024 until 04 January 2025.
