Based on the beloved 2001 film starring Reese Witherspoon, Legally Blonde follows bubbly blonde fashionista Elle Woods, who decides to enroll at Harvard Law School to prove her worth after her boyfriend Warner breaks up with her. To her surprise, and everybody else's, it turns out she's actually pretty great at the whole law thing.

The film inspired a sequel, a spin-off, and a prequel series focused on a young El. The musical first premiered on Broadway in 2007. It features music and lyrics by Laurence O’Keefe and Nell Benjamin, with a book by Heather Hach.

Fresh off a sold-out UK and Ireland tour, the production now heads to London, directed by Curve artistic director Nikolai Foster and choreographed by Leah Hill, with musical supervision and additional arrangements by Matt Spencer-Smith. The creative team also includes set designer Colin Richmond, costume designer Tom Rogers, wigs, hair and make-up designer Sam Cox, lighting designer Ben Cracknell, sound designer Adam Fisher, casting director Harry Blumenau and additional casting by Jim Carnahan.

Amber Davies will reprise her role as Elle Woods. She previously originated the role of Jordan Baker in The Great Gatsby at the London Coliseum in 2025, for which she won the WhatsOnStage Award for Best Supporting Performer in a Musical. Further casting is due to be announced.

Legally Blonde will play at the London Coliseum from 22 March to 22 May 2027.
