Cast revealed for Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games

Lord of The Dance - Dangerous Games Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games has announced the leading cast members for its West End run at the Playhouse Theatre.

The smash-hit dance show will star West End rising star Sophie Evans and The Voice contestant Rachel O’Connor. The pair will alternate the part of Erin the Goddess throughout the run.

Evans stunned audiences at the London Palladium back in 2011 when she took over the role of Dorothy in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s production of The Wizard of Oz. Evans was the runner up in the BBC’s talent search for the role, Over the Rainbow.

O’Connor burst onto UK screens in series three of The Voice and led the original production of Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games when it opened at the Dominion Theatre in 2014.

Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games is directed by legendary Irish dancer Michael Flatley and tells the mythical story of a Lord who must fight dark forces threatening a futuristic world. The production contains dance, live music composed by Gerard Fahy, singing, acrobatics and even holographs.

Irish dance champions Fergal Keaney and Cathal Keaney will be joined by Morgan Corner and James Keegan (also world Irish dancing medal holders) in the role of the Lord of the Dance.

The show is due to open on Saturday 10 October 2015 and is scheduled to run through to 3 January at the Playhouse Theatre in London’s West End.
