The wildly popular one-person play has delighted audiences in over 80 countries worldwide since its first presentation by Paines Plough at Roundabout at Summerhall in 2014. It has also been adapted into a highly successful HBO film. Now Every Brilliant Thing makes its West End debut at @sohoplace from next month.
The Oscar, Emmy, and Golden Globe nominated actress Minnie Driver (Good Will Hunting) will conclude the run which includes Lenny Henry (August in England, Bush Theatre) followed in date order by Jonny Donahoe (co-creator and original performer Every Brilliant Thing), Ambika Mod (One Day, Netflix), and Sue Perkins (The Great British Bake Off, BBC).
Minnie said, βI am thrilled to have been asked to be part of Every Brilliant Thing, itβs an extraordinarily unique one person show β funny, raw and kind, and crucially supported by the involvement of the audience, which adds a really interesting angle on storytelling.β
Every Brilliant Thing is designed by Vicki Mortimer with lighting design by Jack Knowles, sound design by Tom Gibbons and casting by Jessica Ronane CDG.
The play conveys a powerful and relatable message about mental health, hailed by The Guardian as "one of the funniest plays about depression you'll ever see."
Every Brilliant Thing plays at @sohoplace from 1 August to 8 November 2025.
