World Premiere of Nancy Netherwood's RADIANT BOY to debut at Southwark Playhouse Borough

The world premiere will arrive in spring, following its inclusion in the RSC's 37 Plays competition in 2023.

Júlia Levai will direct Stuart Thompson (Three Sisters, Shakespeare's Globe) and Renée Lamb (Passing Strange, Young Vic) in this brand-new play which will open at the Southwark Playhouse Borough from 21 May - 14 June 2025.
Set in North-East England in 1983, Radiant Boyis a production which encompasses faith, shame, and queerness and finding connection through art. It follows trainee singer Russell and his mother Maud who are awaiting a young priest who believes Russell is a victim of possession.
The creative team includes Set and Costume Design: Tomás Palmer; Lighting Design: Lucia Sanchez Roldan and Sound Design: Patch Middleton.
