This was a contemporary re-telling of the Phaedra story but I don't think it bears much resemblance to the original myth or the plays that it was based on. I think it was trying to do too much, with too many unecessary twists. If it was more pared back, it could explore in greater depth the central theme - an older woman having an affair with a younger man, the distraught and anger that arose when he ended it. Having said that, I thought the set was great and so was the acting, and her character generally. Also, the way society views older women's sexuality. It was entertaining but would I think have been better if it stayed more true to the original myth (I know there are different versions of that.)

The only thing that wasn’t quite right for me was the acoustics. Speaking in a glass box is always going to be tough and the effect was sometimes off putting. The play itself and the acting were superb.
