Matthew Broderick is back on stage in London following an acclaimed run in The Starry Messenger during 2019. And this is Sarah Jessica Parker’s West End debut. This is the first time the pair has been on stage together, and the anticipation is already mounting.

About Plaza Suite

The play is Neil Simon’s famous smash-hit comedy Plaza Suite. This is a hilarious, razor-sharp look at love and marriage, and it has taken Broadway by storm. Don’t miss your chance to see these two amazing actors play three different couples staying in one hotel room. It’s on stage at the Savoy Theatre between 15^th January and 31st March 2024 for a strictly limited engagement.

Plaza Suite was the playwright Neil Simon's seventh play to be produced. The 1968 premier was a success but until recently it had never been produced on Broadway. Neil Simon died in 2018 at age 91, but we’re sure he’d be thrilled with this production.

The fun is directed by the Tony Award winner John Benjamin Hickey, a treat for the capital since the show became such searing hot property in New York. In fact Plaza Suite became the most popular must-see experience for Broadway audiences, selling out and breaking multiple box-office records at the Hudson Theatre. It ended up being the third-highest grossing revival of a play in Broadway history during its limited 19 week run.

The creative team is just as juicy: the two-time Tony winner John Lee Beatty does the set design, the Tony winner Jane Greenwood does the costume design, the five-time Tony winner Brian MacDevitt is responsible for the lighting design and the Tony winner Scott Lehrer for the sound design. Tony winner Marc Shaiman does the incidental music, and Jim Carnahan is the casting director.

Plaza Suite theatre tickets take you to the world of Karen and Sam, a long-married couple whose relationship might be able to end. The second couple, Muriel and Jesse, used to be high school sweethearts, and the third couple Norma and Roy are the mother and father of the bride, ready to celebrate their daughter’s wedding.
