Jodie Comer is the Emmy and Bafta Award-winning star of BBC's Killing Eve. Now she’s making her West End debut in the UK premiere of Suzie Miller's fantastic award-winning play, Prima Facie. It’s thought-provoking stuff. Justin Martin directs and the word on the streets is this is a real tour de force for a solo actor. It’s on at the small yet beautiful Harold Pinter Theatre and it’s playing for a strictly limited nine week run from 15th April 2022.
What's the plot of Prima Facie?
Directed by Justin Martin and written by Suzie Miller, the plot reveals the story of Tessa, a barrister who has worked her way up from an ordinary background to the pinnacle of her career. But when she’s forced to handle an event she couldn’t have predicted, she finds herself having to operate in line with the patriarchal power of the law... and it proves incredibly tough.
The Killing Eve star plays a barrister who defends men who rape, but is then assaulted herself. How will the story unfold? Come and see. It’s utterly brilliant. This is also the West End debut for Suzie Miller, the playwright so good she’s the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship in Playwriting, which makes things even more special. Two West End debuts – that’s quite something!
