About The SpongeBob Musical
The SpongeBob Musical description
The Spongebob Musical – Oodles of amazing original songs!
SpongeBob SquarePants is an incredibly popular US cartoon TV series. It's the brainchild of the respected marine scientist, educator and animator Stephen Hillenburg, and the cartoon was made for the Nickelodeon TV station. The series takes kids through the amazing adventures of SpongeBob himself and his many unusual aquatic friends, who live in the underwater city of Bikini Bottom. Kids adore it, and now it's a musical. Epic!
When Stephen Hillenburg, the scientist, educator and animation expert, created his character SpongeBob SquarePants, children all over the world fell in love with the magical world he built. These days SpongeBob is a by-word for children's entertainment excellence, so it's wonderful to see the show making its way to the West End for 2021. And what a vivid, friendly, fun, bright, colourful treat it is!
What's the plot?
Welcome to the amazing undersea city of Bikini Bottom, a place where the happy, optimistic yellow sea sponge SpongeBob SquarePants and his equally eccentric circle of friends live. SpongeBob has a lovely, peaceful life until it turns out that Mount Humongous, a nearby volcano on the sea floor, is due to blow its top in the next 48 hours, a disaster that will completely destroy the city.
SpongeBob is determined to prove he is more than just a cheery chunk of yellow sponge. Everybody else has given up hope, waiting for the end to happen, but he decides to save the day. This is his story.
