Stage Kiss in London

Step into 1930s New York, where our heroine Ada is dying and her estranged true love has returned to her from Europe, convinced that their love will conquer all obstacles. Except it's actually New Haven in 2011 and all this is actually a play, the long-forgotten melodrama The Last Kiss returning to the stage after a long time. Over the course of rehearsals, the two leading actors face their own explosive romantic history. As opening night approaches, art begins to imitate life, leading to a passionate and long-awaited love affair.
Two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist Sarah Ruhl's brilliant romantic comedy makes its UK premiere, following a critically acclaimed New York run in 2014. Stage Kiss is directed by Blanche McIntyre (The Assembled Parties, Apex Predator, The Invention of Love) and is their second collaboration following the success of Letters From Max in 2025. Witness a love story like no other, a play within a play that will leave you charmed and entertained, and all the romance and humour you could ask for in a delightful and original romantic comedy.
