Tickets are now on sale for The Karate Kid: The Musical, which begins its brand new tour at the New Wimbledon Theatre on 28th April 2026. In this heartfelt coming-of-age story, teenaged Daniel LaRusso struggles to adapt to a new life in a new town, butting heads with school bully and star of the Cobra Kai dojo, Johnny Lawrence. But his life takes a turn when he finds a mentor in the wise Mr Miyagi. Soon Daniel begins training in the art of karate, preparing to face off with Johnny in a karate tournament, while learning how to apply martial arts to real life, and that true strength comes from within.
Inspired by the beloved 1984 martial arts film film, this stage adaptation brings the story of The Karate Kid to life with both cinematic energy and emotional depth. The show has a book by Robert Mark Kamen and music and lyrics by Drew Gasparini. Featuring iconic moments from the film like the “wax on, wax off” lessons to unforgettable characters to breathtaking fight choreography, this musical stays true to the spirit of the classic film while reshaping it for a new generation to fall in love with.
