Just go and enjoy it. Absorb yourself in the superb music, brilliant dancing and slick movement. The shifts in geographical location were well achieved. The second act particularly reminded me of the old Whitehall farces of Brian Rix.

an old favourite of mine, marred only by the (for me) over effective miking which pained my ears even in Row K of the Dress circle. Not quite as deafening as Thriller, but too many decibels for me - and i am over 70 and slightly deaf anyway.

A show suitable for all the family well worth travelling far to see and enjoy a very relaxing and pleasant time.

The show was an excellent taste of glamour, elegance and lavish life style, often depicted in USA comedy\romatic films in the 1930's. Lots of tapdacing and great singing. Nostagic.The Best.

Top Hat is one of the best shows we have ever seen. Would strongly recommend as a must seen show.

I have been twice to see the show - last time was last week as I wanted to see it before the show closed. Can't think why the show is closing - it is marvellous - the whole cast lovely but especially Gavin Lee - super dancer and singer. Hope it comes back to a London theatre soon.

Loved the dancing and costumes a happy show

Thought stage a bit small & not always in step with dancing. Lead lady's voice not brilliant and a bit harsh, but show not bad for price.

Quite simply the best entertainment ever, and I speak as a theatregoer.

I think children would really enjoy it even though there were very few in the audience. I took my 12 year old daughter for her birthday - she loves tap dancing, ballet and modern dance and absolutely loved the show.

The Art Deco sets were wonderful, The costumes beautiful. The script was funny and dancing and acting really enjoyable. You will like this if you enjoy watching Strictly come Dancing and the music of the time. One of the group I went with wasn't that keen on 1st half which was mainly tap dancing but in the 2nd half the story really developed and more dancing. Many humorous bits.

They don't come better than this. Everything was superb, The costumes were superb especially the ladies dresses which were better than anything in todays shops. I would love one and so would my friend who was with me at the theatre even though she was feeling very ill. in fact 30 minutes later we were in A & E as she could not breathe.

This show is fantastic the music the singing were great abd the dancing was wonderful, it was like watching Fred Astaire Gavin Lee was amazing he had all his traits, and his voice was really good too, Kirsten Beth Williams was also very good her voice was also great and their dances together really good, definately a must to see .

Fabulous singing, dancing & costumes plus the show was extremely well-played and very funny in parts. We had a wonderful evening & would urge you catch the show before the run ends. A great tribute to the wonderful Fred & Ginger, thank you.

High hairstyles of members of the audience should be discouraged they block the view of the stage.

Everything about the show (performances, costumes, choreography, etc.) was excellent. The only disappointment was the seats. We would have been better off in the front of upper circle rather than the back row of the dress circle because the upper circle overhangs dress circle.

I wasn't sure whether I would enjoy the show or not when I booked, but it was much better than I ever expected. Excellent singing and dancing and nicely played humor. Very satisfied!

Innocent escapism

We were a party of 6 and we all agreed the price of your drinks was way over the top hence none of our group had a drink.

My husband doesn't "do" musicals but even he was blown away by this one. Everyone of the cast excelled in all areas, acting, singing and dancing and the orchestra were superb.

I fab night out

Great if you like nostalgia and remember the Astaire/Rogers film. Our sets were central in the Dress Circle Row E unfortunately they were immediately behind the row in front and the people there obstructed the view of the front of the stage somewhat. Tip: book rows A to D at this theatre, which are staggered in future,

Top Hat is a wow. Beautiful Costumes, wonderful dancing and acting. It's very funny and so refreshing. I enjoyed it greatly. A beautiful show.

Good all round entertainment

Lovely show, pretty close to the old hollywood film. Very funny in second part. Great dancing and gorgeous music. Our party ranged in age from 12 to 68 and all loved it.

It's a celebration of dance, music and love! With good humour and wonderful acting!

Beautifully staged, sets and costumes excellent. dance routines slick, and both speech and song always audible. Knew all the songs - overaal a great experience, and worth the money!

The show was well received - unfortunately a lot of tickets upstairs had not been sold by agents so it could have been better

wanted to entertain niece visiting from Dubai who wanted to see Matilda. No regrets seeing top hat instead.

Too much acting not enough dancing

Love the acting, dancing and singing. The story line is a bit predictable and drawn out. Good punch lines for laughs. Overall an enjoyable experience.

A very good lively polished show.A pity That I seem unable to get a refund on my origial tickets.Nobody at London Box Office seems interest to even return my emails.

We really enjoyed the show but found the seating uncomfortable. Very low and not enough room for legs. My Husband is 6ft4 and managed to move to the row behind(we were booked in the Grand Circle) which had a gangway in front. The show however was excellent and the dancers very talented.

Top Hat is a story of love, told through singing, dancing and lots of laughter. Tremendous.

The props, the actors and actress, the music were all Tops in Top Hat a very stunning performance.

Not for children under 12 I would suggests, as the ones in the audience seemed less interested in the dialogue and appeared not to have been provided with booster seats so could not see too well either! Simply stunning show all the same, my husband says he'd love to go again! A budding Fred Astaire at 70!

There were children in the audience who had no cushions to raise them enough to enable them to see properly. In our opinion this is not a show to hold the interest of most children under 12 years !

Cheerful and light-hearted - just the thing to give everyone a rise. super dancing, acting and singing.

A great experience for us all - right down to the right year old boy who thinks he enjoyed it 'even more than the London Aquarium' (visited earlier in the day!). Especially enjoyed the performances of 'Horace' and 'Madge' and of course 'Alberto'!

Gloriously funny, witty and charming. Music was clear with a superb band and unlike most contemporary Music Theatre, was not too loud.
