Grab a hot date for the world premiere of Why Am I So Single? at the Garrick Theatre this Autumn. From the writers of SIX, Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss present a brand-new British musical which explores the weird and wonderful hilariousness of being single.

Featuring a brilliant leading cast including Jo Foster (Just For One Day), Leesa Tulley (SIX, UK Tour), and Noah Thomas (Everybody's Talking about Jamie), it’s designed to delight.

What is Why Am I So Single about

Why Am I So Single? is a vibrant story centered on two friends, their desire for love, and how they deal with loneliness. You’ll follow the two besties through the ups, and mostly downs, of their dating lives in the era of Tinder (and Bumble and Grindr and Hinge and Feeld) in a show that comes from the creative team behind one of the West End's biggest musicals.

Inspirational journey to the West End for this new musical

After a public workshop for the musical in 2023, the team tinkered with the project throughout March 2024 to make it perfect. It’s stacked with pop and musical-inspired songs, with fabulous choreography by Ellen Kane who created magic for Matilda the Musical and Dear England.

The Orchestrator, Vocal Arranger and Musical Supervisor is Joe Beighton and the Set Designer is Moi Tran. Max Johns is the Costume Designer and the Lighting Designer is Jai Morjaria. Sound Design comes from Paul Gatehouse.

The creative team is completed by Future Cut’s music production, along with Production Manager Phoebe Bath. The Casting Director is Harry Blumenau, aided by Sarah-Jane Price from Harry Blumenau Casting.

The musical’s Producer is Kenny Wax, whose work on SIX, The Play That Goes Wrong and Mind Mangler has thrilled audiences in the West End, along with Ameena Hamid (The Wiz, Bonnie and Clyde) and George Stiles (Mary Poppins, Half A Sixpence).

Why Am I So Single? will certainly inspire a new generation of theatregoers in a new British musical devoted to navigating the trials and tribulations of love, laughter, and self-discovery. This promises to be the perfect musical to cosy up with this Autumn, and don't forget to bring your besties!
