The night his Broadway show is due to be filmed for the archives, Levi is having a nervous breakdown in his dressing room. He’s ready to end it all when his sponsor, Ben, bursts in to confront him. And then, through a strange bit of theatrical magic, the dressing room splits open and out steps a younger version of Levi: brash, confident, and utterly different. Together, the three men confront Levi’s past through a kaleidoscope of different characters from his life, leading to a moment of powerful and empowering self-reckoning.
Already Perfect is a new, original musical with a book and lyrics by Tony Award winning actor and singer Levi Kreis (Million Dollar Quarter), directed by Dave Solomon with music supervision by Matthew Antonio Perri. Uplifting, brutally honest, and unflinchingly authentic, this unique story has an inspiring message about accepting your own imperfections and making peace with your own story. Its soaring score blends gospel, pop, and ballad to create a powerful musical experience that reflects Levi’s own journey.
