Broken Glass in London
Brooklyn, 1938: Sylvia Gellburg reads about the atrocities committed against Jewish people in Nazi Germany, overlooked and ignored by the rest of the world. As a reaction, she suddenly wakes up paralysed from the waist down. Her husband Philip thinks it's all in her head. Her new doctor, Dr Hyman, meanwhile, thinks it's psychosomatic and begins treating her, bringing to the surface the problems in her marriage as the two grow closer.
A rarely performed play by the great Arthur Miller, Broken Glass returns to the London stage, coming to the Young Vic for the first time, directed by Jordan Fein (Fiddler on the Roof).
