FANGIRLS in London

Fangirls – Fab fun from Down Under

Love a wicked new show? This one’s amazing. The new comedy musical FANGIRLS holds its UK premiere on stage at the Lyric Hammersmith theatre, in the West End from 13th July to 24th August 2024, and it’s going to be a blast.

Fangirls tickets – A joyous musical

FANGIRLS is a joyous musical about fandoms, the potent passions felt by young girls, and how the world underestimates them. But it’s far from sweet. This is a subversive comedy, an acclaimed musical, and it comes fresh from the pen of the brilliant Yve Blake, inspired by hundreds of real-life discussions with teen girls.

Having already taken Australia by storm, the music has been described as a ‘Beyonce Concert meets Rave meets Church’. Both nostalgic and contemporary, this epic producrtion is packed with feminist euphoria. No wonder it’s predicted to be a monster hit.

All about Fangirls – Beyonce / Rave / Church

Edna is fourteen years old. A misfit in teen culture, she’s truly, madly and deeply in love with the gorgeous Harry. The only thing is he’s a member of a boy band adored by literally millions of girls like her. And of course, he has no idea she even exists.

Harry’s band is going to be in Edna’s hometown, Sydney, and she decides it’s her destiny. She’s determined to capture Harry’s attention and his love – but how? And how far is she prepared to go?

A flurry of excellent reviews prove the appeal of this fabulous show. As Time Out said about the Sydney production: “Not being dramatic, but this pop-musical will probably change your life”. Limelight said we should “Believe the hype. The FANGIRLS phenomenon is real!”. ArtsHub Sydney said “FANGIRLS is sure to become an iconic hit” and Guardian Australia claimed it’s a “love letter to feeling so much you just have to scream”. We’re certain UK audiences will feel the same.
