Did you love The Play That Goes Wrong? If so you’ll adore this, Mischief’s latest stage smash. It’s coming to the West End fresh from a US run, on at the West End’s Apollo Theatre for a six week season from 14th March to 28th April 2024, and it’s the show’s West End premiere.

Mind Mangler originally premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2022, then it was turned into a two-act comedy show that took off on a major UK tour from January to April 2023. Now it’s back to make more of us cry with helpless laughter. Prepare to giggle at the Mangler’s bizarre feats of mentalism.

Mind Mangler tickets – Mischief does it again

Mind Mangler: Member of the Tragic Circle stars Mischief’s company members Henry Lewis and Jonathan Sayer. It takes the character originally created in Magic Goes Wrong by Penn Jillette, Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, Henry Shields and Teller to a new place, adding to the company’s stash of incredibly silly productions, the kind of funny that sits right at the heart of British comedy.

Mischief Theatre was born in 2008, created by students from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. The company directors were Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, and Henry Shields, and they kicked off with a load of exceptional improvised comedy shows. Four years later they became embroiled in comedy theatre, creating stand-out performances rich in beautifully choreographed physical comedy, jokes, and stunts.

You’ll accompany the Mind Mangler as he returns to the stage after a horribly disappointing two performance run at the Scranton USA Holiday Inn Conference Center, suite 2B. But wait... the Mangler’s latest spectacular is about to spiral into utter chaos as the not-so-great man does his best to read your mind.

Mind Mangler: Member of the Tragic Circle is directed by Hannah Sharkey. The set design comes from Sara Perks, with costume design from Roberto Surace, lighting design from David Howe, and sound design by Helen Skiera. The video design is by Gillian Tan. Ben Hart is the magic consultant, Steve Brown is the composer, and Tom Nickson is the production manager for the UK run.
