Production photos released of Skylar Astin and Sarah Hyland in CABARET

Skylar Astin (Pitch Perfect) and Sarah Hyland (Modern Family) both made their West End debut with Cabaret and will perform until 12 December 2026 and 23 January 2027 respectively.

They are joined in the cast by Ronan Burns as Ernst Ludwig, Lindsay Atherton as Fraulein Kost/Fritzie, and Lily Frances, Peter Houston, Samuel How, Bailey Johnson, Ellie Mitchell, Kirsty Anne Shaw, Natasha Wilde and Nicky Wong Rush. Continuing in the cast are Baker Mukasa as Clifford Bradshaw, Ruthie Henshall as Fraulein Schneider, Robert Hands as Herr Schultz, with Joe Atkinson, Xavion Campbell-Brown, Olivia-Rose Deer, Anya Ferdinand, Danny Fogarty, Adrian Grove and Eva-Rose Tanaka.

Based on the play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood, and directed by Rebecca Frecknall, Cabaret is set in 1930s Berlin during the rise of the Nazis, where the English night club performer Sally Bowles works in the notorious Kit Kat Club. It follows her relationship with the American writer Cliff Bradshaw, while boarding house owner Fraulein Schneider and her Jewish lover Herr Schultz struggle to navigate the growing dangers in Germany. With music and lyrics by John Kander and Fred Ebb, its dazzling soundtrack features songs such as Wilkommen, Don’t Tell Mama, Mein Herr, Maybe This Time, Money and the title number.

Cabaret is playing at the Kit Kat Club at the Playhouse until Saturday 30 January 2027.
