Cast announced for premiere of RADIANT BOY

Heading to the Off-West End venue from May, this new play centres around faith, shame and queerness and finding connection through art.

The full cast has been announced for Radiant Boy.
It comprises Stuart Thompson (Three Sisters, Shakespeare's Globe) as Russell, Renée Lamb (Passing Strange, Young Vic) as Steph/The Voice, Wendy Nottingham (The Last of the Boys, Southwark Playhouse) as Maud and Ben Allen (Measure for Measure, Donmar Warehouse).
Directed by Júlia Levai and set in North-East England in 1983, trainee singer Russell and his mother Maud are waiting for the arrival of a young priest who believes Russell is a victim of possession. The play, which will premiere this Spring, was the winner of the RSC's 37 plays competition.
Levai is joined on the creative team by Set and Costume Designer Tomás Palmer; Lighting Designer Lucia Sanchez Roldan and Sound Designer Patch Middleton.
Radiant Boy will play at the Southwark Playhouse Borough from 21 May - 14 June 2025.
