Co-directed by Resident Director Aneesha Srinivasan and Artistic Director David Byrne, the cast for The Shitheads includes Peter Clements (How to Survive Your Mother, King's Head), Jonny Khan (Two Gentlemen of Verona, RSC), Annabel Smith (The Vanishing Room, New Diorama/ETF), Ami Tredrea (Wendy and Peter Pan, Barbican), Scarlet Wilderink (Life of Pi, West End & Broadway) and Jacoba Williams (A Midsummer Night's Dream, Shakespeare's Globe).
Set around Britain's earliest inhabitants, they discover that love and violence feed the same fire. When strangers arrive at a secluded cave, domestic harmony shatters – and survival turns savage. The Shitheads will drag audiences back to the beginnings of who we are in this debut following its performance as part of the Royal Court’s inaugural Open Submissions Festival.
Designed by Anna Reid with Puppetry Design, Direction & Movement by Finn Caldwell. The creative team includes Alex Fernandes as the Lighting Designer, Asaf Zohar as the Composer and Sound Designer. For the show, Dulcie Best is Puppetry Co-Design & Fabrication, Nick Barnes is Puppetry Fabrication. Saffeya Shebli is the Casting Director.
The Shitheads will play from 6 February - 14 March 2026.
