First look: MEAN GIRLS rehearsal images released

The smash hit comedy musical based on the Paramount Pictures film of the same name opens in London next month.

Here's a first look at the West End cast of Mean Girls in rehearsals with performances starting at the Savoy Theatre from 5 June.

Mean Girls is a stage adaptation of the 2004 film, telling the story of Cady Heron, a teenager who moves from Africa to an American high school and navigates the complex social hierarchy. She becomes entangled with a popular clique known as "The Plastics" and learns about the highs and lows of high school drama. The musical explores themes of friendship, identity, and the consequences of trying to fit in.

The West End cast of Mean Girls includes Charlie Burn (Cady Heron), Georgina Castle (Regina George), Elèna Gyasi (Gretchen Wieners), Grace Mouat (Karen Smith), Elena Skye (Janis Sarkisian), Tom Xander (Damian Hubbard), Daniel Bravo (Aaron Samuels), Lucca Chadwick-Patel (Kevin Ganatra), Ako Mitchell (Mr Duvall), and Zoë Rainey (Ms Heron, Ms Norbury and Mrs George).

They are joined by Tia Antoine-Charles, Georgia Arron, Liam Buckland, Shonah Buwu, Baylie Carson, Freddie Clements, Siobhan Diffin, Clíona Flynn, Fergie Fraser, Angus Good, Jenny Huxley-Golden, Holly Liburd, Corey Mitchell, Mervin Noronha, Aharon Rayner, Trézel Sergeant, Josh Singleton, Annie Southall, Lillia Squires, Tommy Wade-Smith and Holly Willock.

This musical is one packed with witty humour, catchy songs, and energetic performances that will deliver a fresh, modern twist to a beloved film. Not only that but Mean Girls offers an insight on teenage social dynamics, making it both entertaining and thought-provoking.
