Newsies The Musical London The producers of Disney's NEWSIES are delighted to announce a new booking period at London's Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre. Thanks to ‘overwhelming’ demand and sold-out previews it has extended until Sunday 16th April 2023, and tickets are on sale for the new period now. Don’t miss this hugely popular play, based on a true story.

Who’s involved in Disney’s NEWSIES?

Welcome to early 20th century New York City, where a gang of teen newspaper sellers dreams of a better life. When the rich newspaper boss Joseph Pulitzer puts up the prices he charges the newsies for his papers, Jack Kelly rallies his fellow sellers to protest, at the same time falling in love with young reporter Katherine. Will they rise up and fight against their unfair exploitation?

  • The original production opened on Broadway in 2012 with the expectation of just 100 performances. It went on to play over 1000 performances before touring and winning two Tony Awards, including Best Original Score
  • The original was filmed live on stage, and the resulting movie was released in cinemas in 2017
