Cast announced for THE UNBELIEVERS

Nick Payne's new play about family, memory and hope will make its debut at the Royal Court Theatre for a limited run, kicking off in October.

Directed by Marianne Elliott, the previously announced Nicola Walker will be joined by Esh Alladi (This Much I Know, Hampstead), Alby Baldwin (Hamlet Hail to the Thief, RSC), Paul Higgins (The Seagull, Barbican), Ella Lily Hyland (Towards Zero), Harry Kershaw (Our Country's Good, Lyric Hammersmith), Martin Marquez (Dear England), Lucy Thackeray (The Buddha of Suburbia, Barbican), and Isabel Adomakoh Young (As You Like it, Shakespeare's Globe).
The Unbelievers follows a mother who refuses to give up hope while searching for her missing teenage son. It's a play about the moments that shatter our world, and the ones that help us piece it back together. Experience a startling portrait of motherhood, faith and family this Autumn.
Directed by Marianne Elliott (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time), designed by Bunny Christie (People Places and Things). The lighting design is by Jack Knowles, the composer and sound designer is Nicola T.Chang, movement direction by Etta Murfitt and casting by Charlotte Sutton CDG.
The Unbelievers plays at the Royal Court Theatre from 10 October to 29 November 2025.
