The Pitchfork Disney in London
The Pitchfork Disney is Philip Ridley’s first ever play, a culturally explosive and subversive exploration of fear and sexual anxiety. It follows a pair of siblings, Presley and Haley, living in their dead parents’ house ten years after a harrowing tragedy. But when Presley invites a beautiful stranger into their home one night while his sister sleeps, their worst nightmares become reality.
It first premiered at the Bush Theatre in 1991, where, despite the script receiving negative reviews, it was met with enthusiastic popularity - especially among young audiences. Since then, it has toured across the UK and the US and has become a cult classic. Now it’s your chance to catch it onstage once more - The Pitchfork Disney opens at the King’s Head Theatre on August 27th for a strictly limited run.
