About Lerner & Loewe's Brigadoon

Tommy and Jeff, two World War Two fighter pilots, crash land in the remote Highlands of Scotland and then try to make their way home. Just over the hills, the two sisters Fiona and Jean are getting ready for a wedding. During one special day in the dream-like village of Brigadoon, their stories combine. Will true love survive in this enchanted place where nothing is quite as it seems?

The original production first opened on Broadway in 1947, then at Her Majesty's Theatre in 1949. A 1954 movie starring Gene Kelly and Cyd Charisse scored a big hit. There was a major 2014 revival the Goodman Theater in Chicago, a 2017 Melbourne production at the State Theatre updated to contemporary times, and a staged concert thrilled audiences at New York City Center in 2017. Adapted with original dances from Agnes De Mille, this is the first major West End revival since 1988.

Danielle Fiamanya (Otherland) plays Fiona and Louis Gaunt (Mary Poppins) plays Tommy.

The book and lyrics are by Alan Jay Lerner and the score by Frederick Loewe. Respected Scottish playwright Rona Munro has updated the book, with Drew McOnie (Jesus Christ Superstar) directing his first production as Open Air Theatre artistic director, also creating the choreography.

Laura Bangay is Musical Director, Basia Bińkowska is the Set Designer and Will Burton is Casting Director, with Sami Fendall the Costume Designer and Carol Hancock the Associate Wigs, Hair and Makeup Designer/Supervisor. Cory Hippolyte is Associate Director, Hazel Holder is the Voice Coach and Jessica Hung Han Yun is the Lighting Designer. Nick Lidster does the Sound design for Autograph and Ingrid Mackinnon is the Intimacy Director, with Ebony Molina as Associate Choreographer, Morag Stark as the Dialect Coach and Sarah Travis as the Music Supervisor and Orchestrator.
